There’s a couple of Android shirts out there, even Google sells them, but this one is pretty cool and a little different.
Ever want to show everyone what’s going on inside your phone? Now you can with this nerdy, but stylish shirt showing an exploded view of our beloved mascot. You can pick it up for $19 at Exploded Andy.
Anyone rocking Android gear? Let’s see some pics or links in the comments.
Seidio has come out with a mindblowing 3200mAh battery for the Google Nexus One. That’s double the capacity of the stock battery. Selling for a rather steep 70 bones, but it includes a new back cover, and seems like kind of a deal when you compare to the $54 1600 mAh battery they also have for the Nexus. And the extra capacity adds only 6mm to the already super thin Nexus. We’d love to see some torture tests on this monster battery to see how well it outperforms the stock battery.
Seidio invests in extensive research to find the best and most powerful battery components on the market. We carefully select top quality cells for our batteries to ensure the highest level of safety, quality, and performance. Our research, knowledge, and expertise give us the ability to create batteries that provide maximum capacity in their comparable space. This large capacity Innocell Extended Life Battery is for the avid traveler who can’t always get to a charger. It has double the capacity of the original battery and will keep you charged and ready to go, even with heavy phone and data usage. It comes with a contoured black replacement door featuring Seidio’s signature soft touch coating and a textured bar to mimic the phone’s original design.
There really needs to be more Android accessories with featuring the mascot robot. Most accessories are boring these days. And if they are flashy or interesting, it’s the wrong kind, like Hello Kitty branded stuff.
This is the wall charger that came with an Android knockoff phone called the SciPhone. It will take a normal sized USB cable so it can be used with multiple phones, or any USB device really. Picked it up on eBay for 8 bucks, but I can’t seem to find them on there anymore. Oh, and the eyes are green LEDs that light up when it’s plugged in.
The CLIQ doesn’t really take good pictures in low light, does it?
Thought this was pretty cool, so I’d share. A simply but effective DIY phone dock for your G1, or any phone for that matter. It only caught my eye because they used a G1 in the picture. If you don’t feel like spending the 10 bucks on one of those fancy dock stations for you G1, or you’re just into cool little DIY projects.
What do you use to hold your Android phone when it’s not in your hand?
With looks that only a mother could love, this accessory claims to improve the pictures you take at long range. Although the 3.2MP camera on the T-Mobile G1 is hardly a replacement for a point-and-shoot camera, let alone a pro camera.
We can only assume this product description is a translation: “Overcome the short coming of camera cellphone that can only near-sighted, it also makes distant view for you at the moment. The new design to run of rays can effectively avoid the contortion of image, and makes the super wide angle, the larger luminous flux, the higher visual acuteness, good for color reduction, which makes the high quality of photography.”
I’m still skeptical of exactly how much this would improve any pictures, I would love to at least see some samples. But at only $17 and including a full crystal case, I can see more than a few people interested enough to try it out.
Here’s a cool little accessory I ran across on YouTube. It’s a plastic stand that will hold your G1 (or iPhone) at a 90 or 60 degree angle. The concept is rather simple: You clip the USB cord (or charger) into the stand, then plug it in, and it hold your phone securely in the upright position. You can pick one up here for $5.99 each. But it makes you wonder how much it costs to produce a simple plastic piece. I’m sure if they offered colors or cool designs, people would be snapping these up like hotcakes.
