The Galaxy S III isn’t due to hit the first retail shelves for another two weeks or so, but Nicollo Rolli from HD Network got his hands on a unit early and took to YouTube to show it off for us. In the video the S III gets compared to the latest top of the line devices from Samsung and HTC. Although the entire video is in Italian (which we don’t understand), the visual comparisons are enough to get more of a feel of the Galaxy S III. If anyone out there does speak Italian, feel free to chime in with anything important shared on the video.

When shopping around for a new phone, most of us try to find the best deal instead of just plunking down whatever the carrier charges in the store. If you’re in the market for a Galaxy Nexus on Sprint, this deal is about the best around right now. Amazon Wireless is now selling the Sprint Galaxy Nexus for only $149 with a two year contract, that’s $50 cheaper than from Sprint. On top of that, you get a $50 Google Wallet credit, so essentially you’re saving $100 over retail pricing.

The Galaxy Nexus is currently listed as in stock and you get free two-day shipping from Amazon. So if you don’t mind waiting 48 hours for your new phone, you can save yourself a full Benjamin in cash.

If you’re going to buy a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, that one is even cheaper at only $49 with a two year contract.

[Amazon Wireless]

Samsung’s US sign-up page for the Galaxy S III may have given us a hint as to which US carriers the phone will be hitting when it lands this summer. The page originally had a drop down box for carrier preference selection listing AT&T, C Spire Wireless, Metro PCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon. The big four carriers seem obvious, but almost no one has heard of C Spire. And Metro PCS seems like an odd choice since it’s a pre-paid carrier and the Galaxy S III is likely to be very expensive outside of carrier subsidized pricing.

While this may hint at which carriers will see the S III, Samsung has already changed the sign-up page, now only asking for name, email and zip code. If you would like the latest release info straight from Samsung, feel free to head over there and fill out the form.

[Samsung via PhoneArena]

Samsung’s latest budget tablet, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has received the teardown treatment courtesy of Tech Republic. While it looks nearly the same as the Tab Plus 7.0, the slimmed down specs also slash $200 off the price tag making the Tab 2 7.0 very affordable at $249.

There’s been rumors floating around of the Samsung Galaxy Note coming to T-Mobile since a user agent string was spotted matching the specs and sporting the T-Mobile flavored model number SCH-T879. And now the magenta variant of the 5.3 monster phone has been spotted in the wild with T-Mobile branding and apps specific to the carrier.

We don’t expect the device to be much different from the AT&T version, since it’s already been possible to use the unlocked AT&T Galaxy Note with T-Mobile. Although there’s no word on pricing or release dates yet, we’re hoping to hear this announced soon.

Although planned, none of the big 3 carrier versions of the Galaxy S II have started their updates yet. Mostly because the carrier vetting process for software updates take so much time.

Samsung’s Galaxy Beam is truly a unique device that stands out from the crowd of other Android devices. Not because of it’s processor or screen, but mostly because it has a built in projector. First introduced at Mobile World Congress back in February, the Beam is now available for pre-order to European customers through Expansys for £430 (around €525 or $688 USD).

In US news, the Galaxy Beam was recently spotted passing through the FCC with AT&T bands. Although not a direct indication it may ever make it to a carrier here in the US, we may soon be seeing it on sale in unlocked form.
