T-Mobile is preparing to push out a small maintenance update for the HTC One S. The OTA update will be available beginning June 4th and run through July 7th, but most users should have it before then. The Android version remains Android 4.0.3, but the update is said to improve software stability and resolve open issues. Users must be running stock software and not rooted to receive the 24.2 MB update. To update manually, you can go to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates. Full change log below:

Ahead of their launch party tonight, T-Mobile has just announced pricing and availability for the HTC One S. It will be available in T-Mobile stores and online beginning April 25th and priced at $199.99 with a two year contract after $50 mail-in-rebate.

We’re all patiently waiting for tonight’s event with HTC and T-Mobile where they’re expected to announce the One S availability and pricing with much fanfare. But a little sneak peak has made it’s way onto T-Mobile’s website. Not quite all the details we hoped for, but we now know the full retail pricing of the HTC One S will be $599.99 with no contract. What will the two year contract price be? We can only guess $199, but we’ll have to wait till tonight for confirmation. The expected launch date is still lined up for one week from now on April 25th, as spotted on multiple documents.

When HTC announced the One S back in February, T-Mobile confirmed they will be carrying the device some time in April. Now that T-Mobile has started employee training on the device, the release date is pretty much locked according to these screenshots obtained by TmoNews. April 25th seems to be all but locked in for a release date. Now once we see a press release from T-Mobile we can be 100 percent sure.

Hot on the heels of HTC official announcement of the One series devices, Clove UK has already opened up pre-orders for all three devices. And even if you’re not interested in pre-ordering, Clove is also confirming prices and expected release dates.

The One S isn’t HTC’s top of the line device, but it will be the thinnest on T-Mobile at just 7.9mm thick, and their first to launch with Android 4.0 out of the box. The One S features a 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED display, a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, an 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of internal storage and Beats Audio. The camera is the same unit that’s on the bigger brother One X featuring a “dual shutter” design that allows video and pictures at the same time.
