Unnamed Samsung QWERTY device spotted with T-Mobile branding

The last decent QWERTY handset to land on T-Mobile was the HTC MyTouch 4G Slide, which is nearly a year old at this point. There’s a new QWERTY slider from Samsung that’s been recently spotted in the wild that hopefully should satisfy all your keyboard cravings.

There’s not much we know about the SCH-T699, as you can see from the photo above, it has a slideout 5-row keyboard. It’s said to have only a 5 megapixel camera on the rear, front facing camera, and will be running Android 4.0.4 out of the box. The processor inside is a Qualcomm unit, which could be the S3 or S4, hopefully the latter. However, we’re guessing it’s going to be a little underpowered as not to compete directly with the Galaxy S III.

The T699 has already been spotted on an inventory sheet alongside the likes of the SGS3, Galaxy Note and the Huawei Mytouch. We can probably safely assume we’ll hear more about it late this month or early next month.
