Galaxy Tab 10.1 too big for you? Not feeling the 8.2 inch Motorola XYBOARD tablet? Then Verizon may have another tablet option for you soon enough. It appears the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is hitting Verizon sometime soon with 4G LTE onboard. The Tab 7.7 has appeared in Verizon’s computer systems, but no apparent price or release date is available yet. That 12/7 in the screenshot above is the date the Tab 7.7 was entered into the system, not a release date.
The relative success of the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 and sales of devices like the Kindle Fire show that consumers do want tablets smaller than 10 inches. But it will most likely come down to a matter of price. Unless Verizon highly subsidized the Tab 7.7, it will most likely still be in the $300-400 range, above the average consumer’s budget. Anyone planning on picking up one of these when released on Verizon?
