Pantech has just announced the Vega LTE in South Korea. While the device is only available in Pantech’s home country of South Korea for now, let’s hope we see it in one form or another elsewhere in the near future. Usually Pantech is not known for high end smartphones, but like many other companies cranking out Android phones, they’re finally coming around. Pantech was one of the first to have a 1.5Ghz dual core processor phone back in May 2011 with the Vega Racer and others in the Vega series were among the first to sport the fast DDR2 RAM.
The Pantech Vega LTE does not disappoint in the specs department. It has a 4.5 inch 1280 x 800 display, that’s full 720p. As the name suggests, it has LTE connectivity, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 1860 mAh battery, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, NFC and 16GB of storage. All of this packed into a thin 9.35mm body. The phone is set to debut on SK Telecom later in October.
