T-Mobile just started pushing it out yesterday, but users are already reporting their HTC Sensation 4G phones are getting the Android 2.3.4 update. Along with the requisite security and bug fixes, the update brings the latest version of Google Talk with integrated video chat. Here’s the full change log via T-Mobile:
New Features
- Software stability
- Improved battery life
Improvements
- Improvements to Trace dictionary
- Improvements to screen responsiveness
- Improvements to video playback
- Improvements regarding device reboot / power off
- Improvements to icon pixilation
- Improvements to Wi-Fi connection
- Improvements to screen/photo resolution
If you haven’t received a notification on your Sensation 4G yet, you can go to Settings > About Phone > HTC Software Updates and check for new updates. For some reason T-Mobile has said the update will finish in late September (are there really that many Sensations out there) which is rather long for an OTA update rollout. There’s also been speculation that once all the Sensation 4G’s are updated, HTC’s bootloader unlock tool will go live for T-Mobile version of the Sensation.
