After a bit of back and forth about whether or not the HTC Droid Incredible would actually get Gingerbread, it’s finally confirmed. Verizon now has the update listed
on their support page as coming soon. Either Verizon is doing a soak test of the software, or it’s currently rolling out, as some users have already received it. Either way, users are bound to get a notification soon the over-the-air update is ready for their device.
The update not only brings the latest version of Android (2.3.4) but also some other various fixes for messaging and MMS, Bluetooth improvements, ability to use the camera without inserting an SD card and other improvements. Be sure to drop us a line in the comments if you’ve gotten the update and let us know how it is so far.
