We’ve seen a few indications of the MyTouch 4G slide under the codename HTC Doubleshot. The phone is said to be essentially a MyTouch 4G with a dual-core processor and a keyboard slapped on it. Thanks to a source to BGR, we’ve got a couple of blurrycam shots that actually give us an idea of what the thing looks like. As seen in the photos, it’s running Android 2.3.4 and the latest HTC Sense 3.0. There’s an 8MP camera on the back, and obviously a front facing camera of unknown resolution. The screen is said not to be 3D, but it’s also nothing impressive according to the source. It’s said to run as smooth as the HTC Sensation and much faster than the MyTouch 4G. The keys have a similar feel to the T-Mobile G2, but the layout is more closely related to the original MyTouch Slide. As far as release date, look towards the first couple weeks in July. The device has just recently crossed the desk of the FCC.
