TabbedOut lets you view and pay your restaurant/bar tab from your Android phone

What started out as an iPhone application is now available to Android users, TabbedOut offers a unique and fun experience to paying your tab at restaurants and bars. How does it work? First you set up your credit card information in the application, then you search for and check in to a location. Currently there are only two locations in my city that use TabbedOut, but more locations are being added across the country every day. A code comes up on the screen that you show to your server to start a tab, then you can view your entire tab on your phone at any time.

When you’re ready to pay, you use the slider to choose a tip, then click the pay tab button on your phone. Easy and done, no waiting around for your tab, you don’t even have to bring your credit card.

Overall, using TabbedOut was a very good experience for me, and I believe the waitstaff like it because it’s less of a hassle for them. The biggest improvement I would like to see would be for more venues to sign up and start using it. For more information, check out the TabbedOut website or follow them on Twitter. TabbedOut is now available in the Android Market.
