T-Mobile G2 to cost $199 on contract, a stiff $499 without

If the leaked screenshot you see above is to be believe, the T-Mobile G2, aka the HTC Vision is to be $199 with a new 2 year contract (or upgrade price) and $499 without a contract. Placing it right in line with the pricing of the Motorola Droid X, HTC EVO 4G, and other high end smartphones. The T-Mobile G2 is said to be available late September or early October and features a full QWERTY keyboard and HSPA+ 3.5G data.

Hm… that’s a little too pricey for me. Practically what I paid for my G1 (which I still use!) I don’t really like the keyboard either. I might pass on this and wait for something else with the same chipset.

That’s 50 bucks more than the vibrant. G1 owners should get a discount for sticking with their phone for 2 years.

Seriously, for those people should be a better price if u return back your old G1. For 50 bucks they would get a happy customer, another 2 years contract, a cell phone to use for repairment shop, and a sale
