Apple adds Droid X to list of phones they say have antenna issues

In continuing with its trash-talking campaign, Apple has added the Motorola Droid X to it’s Smartphone Antenna Performance page, trying to salvage themselves from the iPhone 4 antenna issues by dragging others through the mud. I’ve spoken with iPhone users with mixed answers, and done my own tests on various phones with mixed results. Personally I’ve never had a problem with any of my Android phones dropping calls based on the way I hold them. In the long run, the biggest thing that affects dropped calls is coverage area.

Who actually holds a phone like that? Looks like the person is trying to play some guitar chord rather than use his/her phone.

The problem here is precisely illustrated by the video. Most companies know this problem exists and design around it such that only through some very awkward maneuver is a customer going to kill the signal.

Apple, on the other hand, ignored this and went forward with a design where it is fairly easy to do so.

This video just makes this look even dumber.
