The release of the latest Galaxy S variants has brought some attention to Samsung’s RoadSMS application, which allows you to send text messages while walking (not driving), because it shows the camera preview as a background in the application. Here’s a short video showing you how it works, and if you want to try it out on your phone, you can download it here. It may not work with all phones or versions of Android, install at your own risk. To install it, download the file, unzip it and place the .apk file on your SD card. Then go to Settings > Applications and make sure unknown sources is checked. And use a file manager application on your phone to open and install the program. Sorry, AT&T users won’t be able to do this.
