Amazon now has the Archos 7 Android Tablet 8GB up for pre-order for only $199. They don’t have an estimated ship date, but usually their preorders aren’t very far out. A paltry 8 GB capacity for music, movies or pictures doesn’t seem like much for an Archos device, but thing about how much storage is on your average Android phone. It also features a large 7 inch touchscreen and a claimed up to 42 hours of battery life when listening to music. All your favorite Android apps and web surfing via a wifi connection. $199 isn’t a bad starting price for a device that pretty much does everything but make phone calls.
