1.6 Donut coming to Motorola Cliq next month?

You’re looking at a chat transcription between a Cliq owner and what appears to be a Motorola rep about 1.6 coming to the Cliq. The rumor seems that it’s in development and should be released next month. Of course, with no official announcement, it’s still in the rumors section. Seems about time for an update, or is Motorola hoping everyone forgot about the Cliq when the Droid came out?

    I’ve been waiting for 1.6 since I got mine in october. Also has any herd anything on root access? I’ve read where we can get into the zip file and plugged into a pc it says motorola flash interace but I read it needs a singnature or something along those lines.     A rep from t mobile did state todya during a call I place that the donut upgrade would come at the end of next week. She stated this as if I did not know what it was nor did I ask her about it.

    Just got the Cliq yesterday, but it doesnt have the turn by turn google maps navigation??? I read it only works on android 1.6. It seems I’m always two steps behind i just bought it and its os is outdated and needs a firmware ug.wtf
