A little more on the Motorola CLIQ pricing and preorders

It’s already out there that the CLIQ will be $199 for new and old T-Mobile customer signing a 2 year contract. But many of us, myself included, are only halfway through their contract, and will have to pay more to get a new CLIQ. Well, the guys over at AndroidAndMe asked T-Mobile about non contract pricing, as well as when the preorders start shipping and here’s the answers they got:

1. How much is the Cliq for current customers who do not meet the upgrade eligibility requirements?

The CLIQ will be available for $199.99 with a two year service agreement. Additional pricing levels vary based on the customer’s tenure, but these pricing levels are less expensive than purchasing a new phone without a two year contract. In the case of the CLIQ, the no-contract price is $449.99.

2. Will pre-sale Cliqs begin shipping on October 19, 2009?

T-Mobile customers who purchase a CLIQ during the pre-sale period will receive their device within days of when the order is received. Orders will be processed right away and depending on when the device is purchased, customers could receive their CLIQ just days after Oct. 19.

So there you have it folks. The sooner you order, the sooner you’ll get your CLIQ. And as T-Mobile is known to do, if you’re halfway through your contract, or a longtime customer, they usually can offer you better than full price, on the web or in stores. Now we just have to wait 17 more days…
