More 3G Coverage Coming To T-Mobile [2009 Schedule]

If you were holding off on getting a T-Mobile G1 for lack of 3G coverage in your area, TmoNews as the latest about T-Mobile 3G coverage expansion. I’m still surprised they waited so long on some of the bigger cites, but at least it’s coming. Meanwhile AT&T and Verizon are hard at work on their 4G LTE networks…

Is this a official schedule or a rumor? Also, I’m relatively knew to the G1 (back in February), but am a lifelong customer of T-Mobiles, how good are they at meeting the deadline (excluding cupcake!) for 3G rollouts? I’m in Lansing, MI and would love to have me some 3G. Also, I rooted and flashed JF ADP1.5 because who wants to wait!?

Still seems to be a rumor at this point. We’ll be keeping an eye out for official dates, Tmobile tends to hold back until a week or two before, just in case they run into snags.

Been with these guys 8 years. Their coverage sucks. I have a G1 love the phone. I am in Lansdale, PA no G3 coverage, work in Norristown 8.5 miles away some G3 Coverage. Come on people, get it together or you will always be #3

I got the HTC Hero, unlocked European version.
    Seattle, WA.
On the “E”, but apparently that’s all I’m gonna get with the tmo network.

G3 is up and running in Albuquerque as of the 14th of October. I do not know when it went live, I ran a data reset last night and when it came back up I had a G3 connection. So far I have G3 in the heights and downtown.

Not on this schedule is the area I live – Bremerton/Kitsap County, Washington. But as of last night about 9pm I have been getting 3G at my home full-time. When I drive around the area I get the occasional 3G but flickering back to mostly E. While sitting at the local college parking lot this evening waiting for class to begin the phone constantly flipped from 3G to E and back. But also cell coveraged fluctuated as well – in 3G I had only 2 bars while in E I had all bars.
