Android G1 Used To Control YARB Robotic Blimp

You may remember the “Forknife” Robot video from last month. Well the same development team is back with a new demo project for their SRV-1 robot controller software. This time it’s a robotic blimp, fully controlled by a T-Mobile G1 phone. Robotics and automation enthusiasts out there are probably thinking of all the ways this software can be adapted and used for other projects. And it’s a fine example that shows that Android is more than just mobile phone software, but an operating system platform.
