A source at Samsung has said they are working on a new Android handset for Sprint and T-Mobile. It is not immediately clear if it will be a new handset or an Instinct or Omnia running Android. But early reports are that it will be a full touchscreen model. If released soon, this will be Sprint’s first Android phone and T-Mobile’s second.
“We are accelerating the development process for Google phone in order to meet the specific need of local carriers,”
Hopefully this means they are pushing to get this out soon. With all the buzz around Android, it will be nice to see new hardware running the OS. Samsung has yet to announce an official press release on the matter.
